The team at Cromwell opted for a vibrant and playful Interstellar theme for their LED Sky Ceiling panel array. The panels were introduced to assist in implementing distraction techniques while also creating a warmer, less clinical, environment for their Paediatric theatre patients.

5MOUNTINGHidden grid, clip-in 600 x 600mm ceiling tile type. The Hospital Estates team modified the 3x2 section shown to accommodate the LED Sky Ceiling panels resting onto a 24mm ceiling grid profile. Additional hanging supports were added to the grid as reinforcement. As standard, each panel was supplied with independent safety cables.

6CONTROLStandard on/off operation. The Hospital's Contractor connected the multi-lead plug-and-play LED Driver that powers the panels to an on/off wall switch, separate to the main functional lighting in the room, so that the panels could controlled independently, as needed.

The lights are a fantastic distraction tool enabling all Staff Members to interact with the Child / Young Person providing opportunity for conversation, games and obviously fun!
