Basement Meeting Rooms

Institute of Cancer Research, London

The team at ICR London opted for a large 1200 x 1200mm LED Sky Ceiling panel in each of their newly refurbished, windowless basement meeting rooms. Each biophilic sky scene is illuminated with a daylight colour temperature of 6500K and is also dimmable, allowing users to configure the light output to suit their preferences.

MOUNTING

Lay-in type ceiling grid (24mm T-bar) suitable for 600mm x 600mm ceiling tiles. To accommodate this larger 1200 x 1200mm panel, the installing contractor removed some adjoining bars. Additional hanging supports were added to the grid as reinforcement. As standard, each panel was supplied with independent safety cables.

CONTROL

Each panel came with DALI dimmable, multi-lead plug-and-play LED drivers. These were linked to a multi-switch DALI wall control by the installation contractor. This enabled users to control the functional lighting and our LED Sky Ceiling feature lighting independently from a single control panel.
